FCI Technical Support for Personal Computers: Windows '95

Additional settings for Windows '95 with Plus Pack Installed.

    The plus pack places an Internet icon on the desktop for you to have quick access to the Internet. That icon must be configured to use the connection just created (if you've not already gone through the setup for Windows '95, do so now and come back to this.) To do that, look at the following steps.

  1. Click the start button and choose settings/control panels.

  2. Double click the Internet control panel icon. Make sure that Use Autodial is checked.

  3. In the Settings section under Choose the Dial-Up Networking connection used to dial the Internet, select the connection FCI (or the name of the connection that dials Fishbone Communications, Inc..

  4. That's all!

  5. You are finished.

In either case, the Windows '95 TCP/IP dialup program is a very stable dialup network connection, and should be used instead of any third party vendor's dial up software.
